Hello

I am a 35 year old man who suffers from mild ME / CFS and have done so for almost 8 years now.

My wife who is an amazing support and I are trying to start a family. I am concerned that my condition may impact the health of my children and I were wondering if there was any fathers out there who can give any feedback with respect of if.

I appreciate you taking the time to read my post.

While I am not a father, I am the child of a father who had moderate ME/CFS.

I now have moderate ME/CFS was well.

If you are ever looking for information from a child of someone who has ME/CFS and then ended up with ME/CFS as well --- just let me know.

Perthman: One major issue about rearing children, we take the focus off ourselves more. No matter what health condition, raising children is a lifetime endeavor...lots of joys and sorrows. Now with you, I would suspect your spouse is in good health. I don't know why CFS would affect your offspring's health. I would not go out and bring a bunch of children into the world, one or two TO ME is adequate and good.
