Thanks for participating in Health Rising’s Big Map project. The Big Map project makes it easier to for people with chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), fibromyalgia (FM), long COVID, and allied diseases to communicate and get support, find doctors and other resources, participate in clinical trials, and get across the impact of having these diseases.
The project will provide a secure way to communicate with anyone on our Big Map, provide reviews of medical practitioners and other professionals, and may, if we can swing it provide a singles section, and ways to ask the local community for help. After registering on Health Rising’s Forums you will be able to participate in any of the map’s three fundamental components as they become available.
- The Lives Interrupted project seeks to illuminate in dramatic fashion the economic and other costs of having illnesses like these. It estimates these costs by contrasting a person’s income before becoming ill with a conservative estimate of their income if they had stayed well. It also provides an option to tell their story. (Currently open to people with ME/CFS)
- The Patient and Caregiver section of the Big Map project aims to enhance communication and community building in local communities. It will provide opportunities for person-to-person communication, dating, participating in local events, and getting support from your local community. (Coming soon).
- The Doctor and Resource section aims to assist people with ME/CFS/FM to find helpful health practitioners, attorneys, and other professionals, find clinical trials and research studies in their local areas. (Coming soon)
