This Cochrane Report highlights how far we have to go in treating neuropathic pain. A tricyclic antidepressant, Amitriptyline line is one of the most commonly used drugs to treatment neuropathic pain (tingling, burning, etc. sensations).

Thanks Cort. It was next on my list to try, but I am also nervous of its side-effects, having seen first hand the profound negative impact it had on my father - his urinary system pretty much ground to a halt. If there's no good evidence for it, maybe I'll give it a miss.
