Any connection between history of CFS and the potential for Long Covid?

I had CFS about 35 years ago following a viral illness. I was sick for 5 months and only after a course of acupuncture did I improve.

Thinking that both CFS and long covid may share immune system dys-regulation similarities, I am particularly concerned that I might be a ‘good’ candidate for long covid were I to become infected. So far, I have managed to escape a covid illness and I just had my 3rd booster.

Does anyone know of any research, data or information about the probability of long covid development in those people with a history of CFS??

Thank you!

I was diagnosed with CFS 22 years ago and like you I recovered after 5 months. A couple of minor bouts of it in 2012 and 2017. Then Covid in the spring of 2020, followed a few months later by long Covid. I'm still sick, primarily with CFS symptoms. No vaccines available in spring 2020. Did my pre-existing CFS diagnosis predispose me? I don't know but I've heard that it is very possible that it did.
