Barry Sears' Zone AA/EPA Ratio Report.

This test measures the amount of omega 6 fatty acid, arachidonic acid, and compares it to the omega 3 fatty acid, EPA to determine the inflammatory burden in your body.

I got my results back the other day and thought I'd share.

Note also that I've been taking a lot of fish oil for a LONG time.

My overall ratio is 7.6 and optimal is supposed to be 1.5 with a "good" value up to 3. Anything above 3 they suggest to decrease arachidonic acid and increase EPA to improve the ratio.

The average is somewhere around 19 according to the test results.

I eat a LOT of hard boiled eggs so I've decided to reduce that down to once a week only to limit arachidonic acid and also to up my fish oil consumption a tad again.

I attached the reports if anyone is interested in seeing what a sample looks like for this test. There is also a bit more detailed explanation of the ratios and results on the last page.
