Bateman Horne Center - How to participate in studies

Who Me?

Well-Known Member
Left without basic medical understanding of these diseases, primary care physicians typically refer patients to one of the few specialty care clinics in the United States —such as Bateman Horne Center—for diagnosis and treatment.

This process unnecessarily delays and complicates care, as patients are bottlenecked into a limited number facilities that operate above capacity. Bateman Horne Center is the only ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia Center of Excellence in the Intermountain West. Patients are mostly from Utah, but others come from as far as Minnesota, Oklahoma, and California as they search for answers and relief.
Those who are left on wait lists or are without the resources to navigate this system are often left disabled and homebound as ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia deteriorates nearly every system in the body impeding sleep, causing chronic pain and impairing cognitive ability. Those who do access specialty care still find limited treatments to stem disease advancement.
Only able to treat 10-20% of the people who call for an appointment, many of whom travel great distances, we seek to not only increase our capacity but engage in activities that will educate healthcare providers and ensure quality care across the US.
Formerly the Fatigue Consultation Clinic (FCC) and the Organization for Fatigue & Fibromyalgia Education & Research (OFFER), BHC been committed to the education of medical providers for more than 25 years.
