Hiatal hernia? / stomach fullness

This is a bit old, but here is Dr. Chia's article on enteroviruses within the stomach; https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17872383
A bit more relevant to the topic, Chia has published another paper on the subject. http://file.scirp.org/pdf/OJGas_2015040916050357.pdf
The early fullness you describe is a symptom of dyspepsia.

Dr. Klimas has also published a small study on this which shows enterovirus might also be a cause of gastroparesis which can cause similar symptoms. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10620-016-4227-x

@wayland Thanks a lot for those links. I have thought about not eating sometimes...until I get hungry! :-D Just feels better when I don't eat...and when I stay away from foods that I have reactions to...which is a lot of different foods.

Juicing seems to help my body feel a bit better, but doesn't agree with my taste buds and belly very well. I do juice frequently, though. My skin looks better, I feel perkier and the swelling in my face and limbs goes away a bit.

Do you know if Antivirals will reduce those viruses in the gut (if they are there)? I am on AV and my belly is very swollen, but there is no added pain. Probably digestive enzymes would help?

Chia's Equilibrant product has helped my GI symptoms quite a bit. It has been shown to cut down the viral load in the stomach.

I had that problem soon after I became sick back in 2004. The doctors first just gave me nexium but the quick fullness feeling wouldn’t go away. I was finally tested as I stood in front of the X Ray machine and drank something fizzy and bubbly. They told me right then I had a moderate sized sliding hiatial hernia.
If I over eat then it will bother me but usually I keep it under control and I don’t get the fullness...just pain.

One of the first thing I noticed when I got ill (and quite skinny) was a feeling of often immediate fullness in the stomach area when I ate. I was sure - I was so sure - that I had a hiatal hernia but tests were done and nothing was found.

I still get that sensation. I've assumed that it's just more pain sensitivity akin to the sensitivity that that people with interstitial cystitis, I think it is feel, when their bladder or whatever organ it is is distended. Healthy people don't feel anything at all but they feel pain.

I seem to feel fullness when fullness is not there.

Does anyone else experience this or have had a hiatal hernia?

Yes, I suffer with this, but not always, every few weeks/months I have a few days when i eat very little and then i feel awful, like my imtestines are stretched to the maximum, it is a horrible sensation. When I get that I have to eat extremely little, and it eventually goes away for a while. I have never been checked for hiatal hernia. i just assumed is part of the fibro/me symptoms.

Had surgery for paraesophageal hernia four months ago. Everything good for four months, then suddenly asthma and palpitations kicked in and tired and weak ever since. CFS for the past 30 years with just a few long-term crashes.

Anyone else have post surgery reaction like this?

I have the same issue. Have you looked into your transverse colon? Any blockage there affects the head/neck.
