Idea for fundraising

This is just off the top of my foggy brain,
are there a lot of creative people with Me/CFS?
I make stuff, unusual crafts/art, I suspect there are others...
What about a big auction, with crafts/art .
To raise money & awareness of ME/CFS.
It would require someone who is functioning atm, someone who could make it an event.
The millions missing idea is good, but will it really generate funds?
I believe there are many who could participate, even if it is just donated art or framed poetry etc...
I wonder if we could generate our own funds & decide which organizations to contribute to.
Aids did it with quilts...
Although I haven't made anything lately, it has helped me keep my sanity, doing something when I am relapsing.
Has anyone suggested something like this before,? Or done something like this on a big scale?
Or is this just wishful thinking...
