I got a call today from HICAP. That's the state agency that helps seniors deal with medicare and insurance issues.
I had called with questions about medigap plans. During the course of the conversation she mentioned I could go on managed care which is cheaper than medicare
I was in an HMO and told her the story of the allergist they sent me to who wanted me to have a psych eval before he would treat my immune disorder.
She said she had gone to an ortho guy for hip pain. He told her it was her gut and to see a Gi. She went to another ortho guy. Her hip was broken.
So it ain't just us who gets dismissed.
