novel approach

I am reading a book by Julia Schopick called Honest Medicine which discusses using unusual but inexpensive ways of treating and often healing life threatening diseases. There are many people with various autoimmune diseases who have been helped by Intravenous ALA ( Alpha Lipoic Acid) often in combination with oral LDN ( low dose Naltrexone) which I take and find very helpful. Has anyone tried intravenous ALA for ME/CFS? Conventional doctors do not usually administer this from what I understand. One doctor who does is Dr. Burt Berkson located in Las Cruces, NM. Has anyone else heard of this or tried it? I've been ill for 21 years and feel that I am gradually declining within the past 8 years. Would love to hear from you - Sheva N.
