Paul Cheney MD Reported to Retire

I just received an email stating that following a severe respiratory infection that affected his heart Paul Cheney is retiring. (Cheney had a heart transplant some time ago). He will reportedly continue to do some email and phone consultations but the office will close.

If he is - he's another of the core set of ME/CFS experts to fade from the scene. Thus far they include Dr. Lerner (died), Dr. Bell (retired but still active!), Dr. Goldstein (retired some time ago) and Dr. Cheney...If he is retiring he certainly left his imprint.

Any others?

Anybody else hear anything about Dr. Cheney.

i believe Goldstein surrendered his medical license. Not sure

Cheney has gotten a lot of flack but I think you're right. He dedicated his career to this disease and worked and thought hard. Time will tell if he was right but if he wasn't he certainly won't be alone.

I am one of his web clients and received last email communications around March 2016. He never stated that he was retired but the regular emails stopped. I wondered if he was ill....
Is anyone still in contact with him?
