Tina Tidmore aruges that "hardliners" that will only accept the CCC or ICC and others focused soley at picking away at the IOM are missing the forest for the trees. While there may be problems with the criteria or the name the Report is a substantial step forward. Small tweaks, not large ones are needed.

I so agree whole hearte dly!! Want to make a comment on the whole name thing. We are better off without the name CFS. That being said the names Cancer and AIDS are not scary in themselves. Cancer after all is a sign of the Zodiac and to aid someone is to help them. As diseases they are scary because of what we know about those diseases and how devastating they are. If I can learn to say Myalgic Ensephaloitis(but apparently not spell it) I can learn to get my tongue around SEID. If we want to change the perception of this nasty disease we need to get behind more research and awareness and then it won't matter what the name is.
