Every part of your body, including your immune system, functions better when protected from environmental assaults and bolstered by healthy-living strategies such as these:
Don't smoke.
Eat a diet high in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, and low in saturated fat.
Exercise regularly.
Maintain a healthy weight.
For example, one group of investigators has found that in mice, diets deficient in protein reduce both the numbers and function of T cells and macrophages and also reduce the production of immunoglobulin A (IgA) antibody.

I would also say eat antibiotic free meats. I find a big difference antibiotic free chicken and antibiotic loaded chicken.

Exercising regularly if at a lower level is helpful with FM but is impossible for most people with ME/CFS unfortunately.
