Can I give blood?

I was sat here thinking what I can actually do to help others. I've donated blood once before but that was before M.E/C.F.S.

Does anyone know if I can still give blood?

Also before M.E/C.F.S I had glandular fever. Does that mean I should never have given blood? I was never tested to see if that exited my system so could it still be an issue?

I would not. It looks from the work at the Younger lab that there is still an infectious subgroup of this disease, so it might be possible to transmit. Plus if you have low blood volume, it might not be great for you either.

Better safe than sorry, I think.

Thank you so much for your reply! That makes a lot of sense and you're probably right.
