Is James Coyne really a good advocate for ME/CFS?

I find myself appalled at some of his recent comments on Jeanette Burmeister's blog...things like, "Jeanette, Does it make you husband jealous that you shower so much attention on me".

It just seems terribly unprofessional on Coyne's part, to say the least.

People should be able to disagree without resorting to statements like that. It does seem that he has put a target on JB that extends well past disagreement on the issues.

I'm starting to think that with friends like that, maybe we don't need enemies???

I've been wondering if he might have a personality disorder, or if he is just a jerk. Time will tell. His behavior reminds me of a little saying you might be familiar with...

"When he was good, he was very very good, but when he was bad, he was horrid."

I remember when I pointed out he was sexist, and people jumped to deny this. But if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...

He's great for ME/CFS PACE trial debunking.
Not so great for all patients.

In contrast, patients LOVED going into the PACE trial and some still can't say enough good about the psychiatrists, even the authors of the PACE trial they met. They were so nice and caring.

And that's how life works.
