Naproxen for inflammation which might be at root of CFS

Today I started 5 days of Naproxen, because inflammation is strongly suspected to be at the root of CFS. If it helps I will then take low dose aspirin daily.
Has anyone tried it?

I get the impression that actual inflammation is looking less likely for ME, but some other non-inflammatory immune activity is going on. An anti-inflammatory drug might help if it works by reducing that unknown immune activity, but since we don't know precisely what that activity is, it's a random gamble.

Also, given how ME works, it makes no difference whether the drug does or doesn't work for someone else; the only way to know whether it works for you is to try it yourself.

I tried cyclosporin, which is a potent immunosuppressant. No effect on my ME.

Today I started 5 days of Naproxen, because inflammation is strongly suspected to be at the root of CFS.

Last October, I was prescribed Naproxen against new-onset joint pain. I suspect rheumatoid arthritis. To find out definitely, it will take this November this year, the first possible appointment with a specialist.

I had already kidney damage from anti-inflammation painkillers in the past. So I wouldn't want to take such painkillers long-term, regularly. Therefore, as an alternative, I remembered Giuliano's 4-herb synergy.

Actually all 4 herbs already in use in my comprehensive supplementation, but reduced the last couple of years due to experience cessation of real PEMs 7 years ago. Increased all, including GLA, again, and there is rarely the need for an infrequent low-dose naproxen against joint-pain already.

I fear to my appointment in November, there will be no reason for the long awaited consultation anymore.

It is pretty clear that inflammation plays a huge roll in most illness, never mind ME/CFS which is unusually affected by inflammation.

I have a ton of inflammation after 54 years of this illness.

My doctor is willing to start me on a trial of LDN which, if successful, would be something I take long term. I wouldn't expect it to work in only five days.

I cannot report on it yet because major and minor surgeries mean I have not been able to start it. I have another surgery in three weeks, so I won't be really testing it out for at least another month.

I do not understand why you would switch to aspirin from Naproxen. Please explain.

A regular dose of Naproxen would have quite a different effect than LDN.
