The 12 Days of Christmas - ME/CFS version

A friend of mine broached the idea of creating a version of "The 12 days of Christmas" applied to ME/CFS. I took a crack at it and she found it so funny I thought I'd share it here. Hope you like it:
On the 1st day of Christmas ME/CFS gave to me forgetting "What is normalcy?"

On the 2nd day of Christmas ME/CFS gave to me 2 dumb disease names
and forgetting "What is normalcy?"

On the 3rd day of Christmas ME/CFS gave to me 3 splitting headaches
2 dumb disease names
and forgetting "What is normalcy?"

On the 4th day of Christmas ME/CFS gave to me
4 aching limbs
3 splitting headaches
2 dumb disease names
and forgetting "What is normalcy?"

On the 5th day of Christmas ME/CFS gave to me
5 broken dreams
4 aching limbs
3 splitting headaches
2 dumb disease names
and forgetting "What is normalcy?"
etc. up to

On the 12th day of Christmas ME/CFS gave to me
12 months of weirdness
11 failed treatments
10 doubting doctors
9 drugs a taking
8 bills not paying
7 days of fatigue
6 bouts with brain fog
5 broken dreams
4 aching limbs
3 splitting headaches
2 dumb disease names
and forgetting "What is normalcy?"
