I don't really think you can seperate the bugs from genes. Bacteria (I think) is responsible for gene expression, and up and down regulation...and 99% of our unique genes are bacterial.

I used to be bedridden but FMT helped me to some extent.

Not disagreeing with you at all. Did you also know the MTHFR mutation for folate is also involved in very hard to find GIST tumors?
They are the same gene. They also use a leukemic medicine after surgery I have the mutation plus I have the mutation for acute myeloid leukemia. Also, many with ME/CFS patients develop non or Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Cris Ponting believes another gene is the cause, he mentions nothing about MTHFR. They say GIST tumors are rare, they are actually rarely diagnosed

I have CFS and MDD. I was put on Abilify at the beginning of May to augment the anti-depressant that I was already taking. I noticed a difference right away in my energy and motivation. I started getting stuff done that had been on my to do list for ages. Now 6 weeks later, I'm feeling really "draggy" again. I have an appointment with my doctor to ask about increasing from 2 mg to 4 mg. However, after reading the post from the patient in the study, I'm not too sure if this is a good idea. Sure did enjoy how I felt for those 6 weeks though.

Just did some AI research. Since I'm taking it for depression it's safe to increase the dose. Using it to treat CFS is still off label and not recommended past 2 mg.
Replying to self for an update. Unfortunately, an increased dose of 5mg has not helped with the draggy feeling, but thankfully, no adverse side effects. Would really love to know what gave me that wonderful 6 week window.

I keep thinking about Myamotoi Borrelia, it is something very hard to get tested for, but is treatable. Not everyone has foamy urination, though. I think Scotland has a lab to test for this infection

I don't mean to sound pessmistic, but I really don't think this illness is going to be about an active infection. If there is an active infection, treating it will help, but I think there is another disease process and I think that disease process can be ameliorated by changing the gut
