Heart Rate Variability as a Measure of Autonomic Function.

Probably only temporarily, while you're doing it.
This is certainly true, but that's why you have to practice it a lot. The switch comes fast now where it used to take a full 30 minutes in the chair. I'm confident I can retrain my brain. The time frame is a bit fuzzy though. :)

Here's an interesting tidbit...I have an ear infection and so I've been taking pain meds for the past couple of days. And my HRV is still about the same number, but the HF number is elevated through the day now indicating perhaps a degree of reversal of the sympathetic dominance.

So maybe the sympathetic overdrive is actually something of a dopamine deficiency???? Maybe?

I think it may be too high glutamate triggering overactive sympathetic response. It does have a tie in with dopamine. But....my first DX (and wrong) was Parkinson. Upping my dopamine increased my problems tremendously. Made everything worse. However, it is thought with some subset types of POTS, there may be lower dopamine.
