I decided to try cannabis for nausea & ill effects from PEM. First, gummy edibles, then smoking to get faster results. It makes me feel significantly better in mood and energy. In fact, it enables me to greatly increase my activity almost as though I ... don't have ME/CFS! But it's a double-edged sword: this increase in activity then results in the onset of PEM, typically the following day. Have had to learn to hold back my activity level from what I feel capable of. Another downside is that it definitely affects my short-term memory and cognitive ability while "high". Thus, have had to restrain my consumption as well, as often just one good hit of the stuff they grow these days can make me "higher" than I want or need to be.

I can not tolerate taking any cannabis orally. But topically, it works wonders for me on specific pains - not general pain. It works with a minute or two usually. I use it for any weird pain that shows up as well as tight muscles in upper back and shoulders ... that create migraines. It can often prevent a migraine or provide complete relief. Usually pains don't come back. Though for something really tough it will only provide temporary relief. Anyway, I coud not function without it even though I have a bunch of other painkiller meds. They all contribute their own help.
