Working as a conservation biologist Amber had traveled the world before her disease struck

A former conservation biologist who’d traveled the world to work on ecological issues, Amber had been working since her teens. Her chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS) story began with a late onset case of infectious mononucleosis in her early thirties that ultimately resulted in her becoming disabled and losing her career.

Amber’s Health Rising blogs have focused on her wrenching transition from working professional to disability and helping others understand the complex diagnostic issues  people with ME/CFS face.
