We just saw Esther, an ME/CFS patient make dramatic improvement not just in her gut but in her decades-long problems with extreme fatigue, cognition, orthostatic intolerance and mood by treating her small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) with an antibiotic called Xifaxin. The gut problems she thought were minor ended up being major players in her ME/CFS.
About the same time we were publishing Esther’s story, Chris Kessler, an acupuncturist and integrative health practitioner published a blog proposing that study evidence indicates SIBO and leaky gut plays a major role in Fibromyalgia.
